A brief “About Me” would probably be appropriate for this new blog:

• I’m Ollie
• But my DJ name for KRFH is MOD, so please refer to me as such on this blog :)
• What is KRFH?

Well, KRFH is Radio Free Humboldt, the (obviously) free radio station run by students at Humboldt State University in California! We play the music that speaks to us so we can further have it spoken to you! This will be my first year DJing for KRFH so I hope to impress and give your ears something to bask in.

• My favourite color is purple
• Sometimes orange, depends on the day
• My favourite animal is the elephant

As I realize you probably wanna know more about my program than me personally, I suppose I’ll share with you what you will be hearing when I am on the air:

• First of all, my show is on one hour each week. When I receive the schedule, I will let you know when my set time is. I am sure we will receive this within the next week, so I’ll keep you guys in the loop.
• My “genre” is really more plural, as I am torn between my two loves, Rock and Electronic. Oh and Jazz, that will definitely be in there, too. I will make working playlists that ebb and flow between those two main genres with rock artists from the 60’s into the more modern, along with EDM and further electronic artists.
• You will know when my segment begins when you hear THIS SONG. It is my most favourite song, and I think it sets a good mark for when I take the audio stage. No, it’s not an indicator that my whole radio show will be Beatles-filled. Sometimes I will feature them because I DO love them, however there is a likely chance that they will not be on my playlists some weeks.

I really can’t think of anything else to add right now. Like I mentioned, as I learn things I will keep you all posted. Thanks for believing in me! :)
